Promoting Excellence in Healing at Every Turn

Our work will focus on the following main areas:

1) Education: it will seek to develop both introductory and advanced training programmes for the Ghanaian people and to establish a recognized training programme with the Ghanaian government.
2) It will seek to explore the integration of homeopathy into the Ghanaian healthcare system through the education of medical personnel
3) It will work with existing practitioners of homeopathy in supporting continuing education programmes and offering clinical support programmes in partnership with the UK charity Homeopathy in Africa

4) It will seek to develop the homeopathic profession in Ghana through professional standards of practice and personal development
5) It will focus on the development of homeopathy as a scientific system of medicine, using research tools and defining the system of homeopathy as practiced by its founder, Samuel Hahnemann, using clearly defined principles
of homeopathic practice.
6) It will seek to develop a professionally recognized homeopathic pharmacy in Ghana.
7) It will seek to build bridges with other forms of traditional and alternative forms of healthcare in Ghana and will work with the Ghanaian government in developing an integrated system of healthcare
8) It will seek to expand the capacity of homeopathic clinical care throughout the country, in both rural and urban areas

Meet The Board

Isaac Gasika

SECRETARY

Isaac completed the GHP Diploma Course, which he graduated from in December, 2021. For the past 5 years, he has been assisting in Emperor’s Clinic, observing, taking cases and organizing outreach programmes. During his practitioner training, he was the Student Administrator for the Volta Region Study Group assisting Lyn Clark to mobilize three intakes of students for GHP Homeopathy Courses. He previously studied Mechanical Engineering and is also a certified Computer Professional. In his last school, he was head of the ICT Department from 2012 to 2019, also serving in many other capacities.

Samuel Tsamenyi (Emperor)

CHAIR

Emperor first trained as a marketer but changed to join the health sector. He was director of Mafi Seva community clinic supported by international NGO AMURT for fifteen years. He also served as coordinator of Mafi Zongo Water Project, also funded by AMURT. He is currently working with the Ghana Homeopathy Project, a UK-based charity, as a practitioner who also trains others in the community.

Simon Ontoyin

BUSINESS SUPPORT

Simon Ontoyin holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Ghana and a Statement of Accomplishment in Technology Entrepreneurship from Stanford University (USA).
He serves as a Director on the Board of FJTTB Ventures, Bleoo Legacy Fundraising Initiative, and Exigency Ghana Ltd. He also serves as Board Secretary to the International Neo-humanist Training Institute. Simon was the winner of the 2013 AITI-KACE Innovative Challenge Award. He is also the author of Accra Aca Bleoo: The History of the Accra Academy from James Town to Bubiashie.

Simon enjoys research,gardening, and voluntary work amongst other interests.

Jacqueline Smith

HOMEOPATHY IN AFRICA REP

Jacqueline graduated from The Scottish College of Homeopathy in Glasgow with Distinction in 1997, lecturing there on Materia Medica and Philosophy. Then at Langside College for eight years teaching, from children to the elderly, mainstream and mild to profoundly disabled people and those with Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease after gaining a Post-grad Teaching Qualification in Further Education(TQFE) from Dundee University.

Jacqueline has been in private homeopathic practice for 25 years and was Coordinator for the Ghana Homeopathy Project from 2014-17 and has now been a Trustee of Homeopathy in Africa since May 2022. She is a former Chair of the Scottish Writers Centre and has a masters degree in Creative Writing from Glasgow University publishing three novels including 'Slaves of Men & Gods' set in Ghana; also non-fiction books including Essential Expressions of the Vital Force and two poetry collections.

Richard Pitt

GHP EDUCATION OFFICER

Richard Pitt has been involved in homeopathy for over 40 years, originally training and working in the UK and then for 20 years in the USA where he was Director of a homeopathy school in San Francisco for 12 years. He was a founding member of the Council for Homeopathic Certification, the largest certifying body in North America, and a board member for 17 years. He was also Editor of the journal of the California Homeopathic Medical Society, for 10 years. He lived for eight years in four African countries, including five years in Kenya where he was Education Director of the Kenya School of Integrated Medicine and Project Director of a European Union funded Public Health Project. He is author of four homeopathy books which can be found at thenaturalmedicineguide.com. He was GHP Coordinator 2009-10 and again in 2022-2023 and will retain the role of GHP Education Officer from September 2023

Pearl Owusu

GRADUATES REPRESENTATIVE

Pearl was a co-ordinator for the Kasoa branch of the GHP Diploma Course in 2021-22. She is also an administrator and accountant.

She is a qualified professional teacher, graduating from the University of Cape Coast with Psychology and Foundations of Education in 2016.

TREASURER

Cyril is a retired accountant. He was Accounting superinteendant at Guardian Royal Exchange(now Enterprise insurance Company from 1966 to 1989, then Beacon Insurance Company 1989 to 2004 as Director of Finance (All in Accra). Also accountant at 3F Fats Oil Company, Tema. He has been a yoga practitioner since 1974 to the present.

Our Mission

MISSION
To support the further development of homeopathic medicine in Ghana through providing educational programmes, to support the development of clinical practice in Ghana, to help integrate the Ghanaian homeopathic community and to link with the international
homeopathic world. The following description describes the purpose of the charity and its main goals.

a) Homeopathy & Health in Ghana is a registered charity, created to support homeopathic education and clinical practice. The aim is to support the continuing development of traditional homeopathic methodology, based on the work of the
founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann.

b) The charity also seeks to connect with the existing homeopathic community in Ghana and with the global homeopathic community, through organizations such as Homeopathy in Africa (HIA) and the International Council for Homeopathy.

c) It will also explore connections with other homeopathic communities in other African countries, looking to see how homeopathy can best be integrated into the healthcare systems in various countries.
